Guy is now 32 years old. We spent his birthday cleaning, doing photography and shopping. He said it was still a good birthday though. He said he'll really be old when he turns 35. Stinker! I'll be 35 my next birthday. lol We borrowed Rick's carpet cleaner (for the millionth time) to clean the carpets. It looks fantastic.

The babies had a great check up on Thursday. They both gained over 2 pounds the last three weeks. Blake is now 8 pounds and Madison is now 9 pounds 8 ounces. The pediatrician was able to observe Madison breast feeding, bottle feeding and passing painful gas. He thinks she has reflux. We are now on day 1 1/2 of giving her the new Zantac prescription, and we have seen a minor improvement so far. We also switched her to the Gentle Ease formula which is super stinky. That seems to be coming back up a little more then the old formula so far to me. We got two small cans of it from the doc and a post card for a free case.

I was talking to Tawni on the phone Thursday. Guy said they should come visit this weekend and they did. It has turned out to be a major blessing. Tawni couldn't sleep last night and helped with the babies. I had another 'episode' of dehydration and was no help to anyone for the 7 painful hours it took for me to feel normal again. Sam helped Guy do a lot of things today as well. They put up two ceiling fans and moved another one. They got mulch and fixed up the front landscaping. They also washed and waxed all the cars.

Rich and Allison also came by today. They brought us dinner and we took pictures of Anderson. He is about 6 months old now and super cute. They came out very well.

Tawni and I spent most of the day taking care of babies and finding time to nap.

Chilly day - 6 week check up for me

All is back to normal in the White house. We made up (as we always do) within a half an hour last night.

Today we got the nursery almost finished. The second crib is now put together. We also purchased some wall stickers that do not harm the wall and are easily removed and reused when we went to get the two high chairs. Marlene & Dave and Jamie & Cynthia sent us the money for them. The chairs are the kind that work from infant to toddler and can be used on the floor/couch/bed or strapped into a chair. Very useful kind of chair for twins. I'm hoping to be able to take a few photos of the nursery tomorrow.

My 6 week check up was today. All looks good. I do get to go back for an u/s to see where my fibroids are now and to make sure the cysts are all gone from my ovaries. The doc said all is well and offered me birth control. Now, while we know that it can be 'possible' to have another baby it is very unlikely without drugs. She also ended up getting me to say how we got pregnant and was shocked! lol If anyone needs to know how that happened let me know and I'll write the story in a post. No, it isn't as simple as just having sex either....

It has been rainy and under 60 degrees today. It is awesome. Love it and it makes all the landscape look so green and pretty.

Great weather and good moods

Blake and Madison on the bed last night.

It has been another successful night and day alone with the babies. My house still is an unorganized wreck, but the babies are happy and mommy has had enough sleep.

Currently they are resting on the guest bed. I had them in the Moby wrap, but we were all getting a bit hot since they had their sleepers on still. Madison is definitely a tummy sleeper. We only let her sleep on her tummy during the day though when we are up to watch her. Blake is pretty content in any position.

This morning my friend Mona brought us over dinner, vitamin waters, a huge can of formula and a big pack of diapers. I was really looking forward to hanging out chatting and seeing two of her kids. She thought they were all over being sick when we set up the hang out today, but her baby girl is showing signs of getting sick as of this morning. So they were only able to drop by for a minute leaving the baby in the car.

My visiting teachers from church also came by this morning. I already knew Nicole as her husband boarded with us for a month and they house sat for us when we went to Australia last year. We have hung out with them a couple of times. My other visiting teacher is Heather. Heather brought her cute daughter and Nicole brought both boys. The boys have LOVED Moose since they stayed at our house. They constantly ask Nicole to bring them over to see Moose. Now that we live a little closer and she is my VT they will get to come over and see him more often. It was so nice to have visiting teachers over during the day. Working full time I haven't had that before so it was really cool.

We’re trying to get tickets to Utah where we want to get the babies blessed so most of Guy’s family can be there and some of mine can drive up from AZ. The cheapest we found is $950 with them as lap children! It used to be as cheap as $500. Mum and Dad called to offer

Well, any semblance of a good mood is completely gone as Guy and I are at eat others throats right now. It is truly ugly.

Oh yeah

So our lap top has kicked the bucket. This means I have lost pretty much all of my email addresses! Help! Send me an email at sandgphotography @ cox. net (the spaces are to prevent pirated searches).

There was also something else, but it has escaped me at the moment.

Guy's first day back to work

Last night I received some very sad news. Molly's mother passed away. She had her kidneys removed and was waiting for a transplant. However, she never really recovered from the removal of her kidneys since they couldn't get a transplant before they had to be removed. How does anyone cope with the loss of a parent especially when they are way to young? Molly and Eric are due to come visit in a couple of weeks. I can't wait and hope we will get to spend some quality time together. It will be their first visit I will not have to work during (or moving/giving birth!). We met Molly's parents during our last visit to see them in Cincinnati. What a wonderful family and they are all very close. She will certainly be missed by all that have known her.

Last night was my first night taking care of the babies by myself. I think we're going to have to move into the babies room and the living room soon so Guy can sleep without the noise and lights. And to keep myself awake I watch TV when they are up. Especially because the shortest feeding is still taking an hour and forty-five minutes. The longer ones take three hours. Both of the kids did well last night and my sleep totalled up to almost six hours. Not bad. Guy got about the same or a bit more.

Madison is getting a bit calmer when she eats, but she is definitely in pain with all of her gas. Many times the stress and/or pain of trying to fart and poo makes her cry and chuck up. She chucks up both formula and breast milk. And she has diaper rash pretty bad too. I think we'll be switching her over to the cloth diapers pretty quick. The only thing is we have about 800 of the size one diapers which is still probably too many for them both to use all of before they grow out of them. Blake is starting to get out of the newborn diapers so we are just finishing the last pack with him this week. He is growing steadily now. He gained another few ounces the last few days and is now up to 7 1/2 pounds.

Yesterday I gave them both a bath with me in the bath too. It was much easier on the back and a lot of fun. The both liked the water until it started to cool down. Blake was pooing before the bath and I kept feeding him anyway. Well the strain of taking a dump caused him to empty the contents of his stomach. It was all over my chest and luckily I was using a big blanket as my burp cloth as it was going to the laundry basket next. If it had been a regular burp cloth it also would have been all over our bed too!

Guy is not having a good first day back at work. He ended up waking on and off the last two hours of his sleep when the babies were being loud (and the TV). He forgot his lunch. And his work computer's car power supply wasn't working. Hopefully the rest of the day goes well for him.

The twins are one month old!

I'm sorry for being so lax in keeping up the blog. There have been quite a few people who have mentioned they check very regularly for updates. I'll do my best to get on at every other day to keep ya'll up on the happenings.

Today I went to the chiropractor. She is wonderful and I feel the stresses and hurts from handling the twins so much melt away. She also sells Moby Wraps which we purchased one of today. The kiddos are on my chest together right now. We took a photo when they first were put in.

We have disconnected our cell phones. The home number is 919-585-6433. Save it and use it! It is just another way we are cutting costs to avoid having to super stress about money.

Madison's new nick name is Mad Mady instead of Baby Girl. Blake's nick name is still Mr. Man or Blakey boy.

We are enjoying the kids and starting to get a little more sleep. We give them more formula at night and less boob time. Though both of them are doing much better at nursing. Either I just don't produce enough milk for them or they don't get everything out of me. So we have to supplement them at least some at every feeding. Madison eats too much all the time and has horrendous gas. No matter how long or well she nurses she wants at least 4 oz from the bottle. Blake is lazy and will camp out at the boob forever then will take a couple ounces of formula.

Blake is a hummer and cooing baby. He especially hums when he is eating. We think it is adorable.

Guy and I now have highlighted hair! We both got highlights yesterday from a girl at church. We wanted to be blond like the kids. Madison is losing all of her hair from the forehead back. Currently she looks like a man who has a ring of hair about the head. lol Blake is losing his in a normal way starting in the back first and fading the ring around the head. His hair also seems to have a reddish tint to it. Guy says there is no one in his family has had red hair. There is definitely red or reddish hair on my side though.

I'll put all the photos in another post.
