A book I have for sale

I was very busy a little while ago posting a bunch of stuff to give away on a Freecycle group I belong to. I came across this book and inside the front cover it was signed!!! Big deal, right? Well, I then noticed a pamphlet in the back. This book is only one of 500 in English by a famous National Geographic photographer, and the original purchase price was $350.00 in 1997!!! What? I just now remembered where this book came from. It was picked up in a lot of National Geographic magazines (like 200 of them) and some other books at an estate sale my Uncle Chuck and Aunt Maddy took me to. I spent $150 that day on a couch, a Lane sleeper chair & a half with storage ottoman, shelves, the magazines & books, a rocking chair and a bunch of other stuff. If I can sell this book for $250.00 (which is cheaper then all of them for sale I found online) that will be a tidy profit indeed! Lin and Berni, you guys were there too.

Here is the link to my post on Craig's list. I need photos before putting it on EBay or someplace else. http://raleigh.craigslist.org/bks/955943643.html

Now, here comes 'rest of the story' (this is a Paul Harvey reference). The couch ended up being a good couch for Guy and I in the long run, but we were in for a shocking surprise the first day of purchase. When Lin and Berni were lifting the long couch they discovered a great stinking mess of urine smell once all of the throw pillows were displaced!!! YUK. Guy, being the fabulous man he is took on the task of cleaning the monster. That couch was cleaned so thoroughly it was probably cleaner then the when it was brand new.

What interesting twists and turns life brings us.

The floor and other stuff

Ahhhh, what a nice day. The babies took two nice naps after they missed their morning nap. Tracy came over to pick look at her photos and pick up the CD. She was very pleased. They recently had their sons senior photos done, and she said she loves mine a lot more. I will put some of theirs on the photo blog next. I am also working on a bunch of photos taken of Blake and Madison with the new backgrounds. Yay! There have also been two more photo sessions set up today! Nice. Currently I am free to work on my own photos and the scrapbook of the kids first 6 months until Saturday after I finish the police officers charity pictures. Some of the fellas Guy works with are doing a charity bike race. When they have the website up and running I'll put in a link.

Yesterday Guy stopped into the grocery store to pick up the babies first teething biscuits. He came in after being a lot longer then expected looking a little harried. He said to me he had to go to several stores to get the right stuff. I thought he was talking about something else he got. Nope, he pulls out the biscuits and says, "All I could find are bitter biscuits." Ha Ha!! He misread the Biter for Bitter. Good one, Guy.

The fabulous new floor installed by Guy!!!

Into the dining area. I love my popcorn machine even though it doesn't really 'go' in the dining room.

He made sure to put the floor in the pantry. Moose is looking for some attention.

The laundry looks a lot nicer with the wood floor. OK, everything looks a lot nicer with a wood floor. Love it! Thanks honey!!!

I have a whole series of photos to put on. I wonder if I can just do a small slide show of them. Got it! I forgot how to do this.

Bye bye guests & India dot and the floor before photos

This is a photo of what usually needs to happen for me to take pictures when we are out and about! ha ha They are stuck in one place, quite happy to have their bottles and generally within site.

Here is the new floor we put in. It is bamboo. BJ's had a sale on it right after we put an offer in on this home. The vinyl flooring had shrunk away from the walls and had a bubble by the air vent. We received a credit for it at closing since they didn't want to fix it and we found the deal on the floors.

From the dining room looking at our messy and micro mini kitchen. I guess it's a good thing neither of us are chefs.

From the kitchen looking into our bedroom. The photos on the fridge are us with some of our nieces and nephew. We have the rest of them on the opposite wall in a big frame from our day out sledding! Boy was that a fun adventure.

Our guests left around 8 am this morning. They made it home to Cincinnati around 4:30 pm. They are looking forward to sleeping in their own bed tonight. Molly is going to try what Guy does and see if it makes it any sweeter. Guy jumps into bed, hurridly pulls up the covers and says something like, "OAHOOOAHHAOOAH !!!" lol It is really funny. He also does it whenever the sheets are newly washed. Just one of the many things Guys does endearing himself to me and making me laugh.

Today I went back to the dermatologist to fully eradicate my red dot between my eyes. She was not super aggressive the first time she tried to remove it in order to avoid giving me a crater. This time it should be gone completely when it heals. It already looked so much better. I was really tired of constantly looking like there was a bright red pimple at the top of my nose between my eyes which was affectionately called my India dot.

I have lots more photos to share. Here are a few. The rest will be put on tomorrow with the after pictures of the new floor. We LOVE how it turned out.

THANKSGIVING DAY PHOTOS

I spent the day with the Nelson & Jensen families. Guy put in an appearance right before work.

A photo of me in it! Yay! Thanks Kim! Madison and little Manon are in my arms. Madison had her hand on Manon the whole time.

Allias was experimenting with my camera for about 25 shots learning about the bounce flash and different ideas for shooting. Next time we'll work on focusing. Kim & Lisa.

This is a classic shot of modern times. Ten years ago would you gather around some one's computer to watch a video or check something out? Probably not. I bet you still had regular old dial up Internet and most likely AOL.

By the way. It was a very funny music video by a New Zealand band. Dig on the guys lamb chops...

OK OK

We have been enjoying our guests, AND I have gotten caught up in finding a ton of new blogs to read through SITS. Molly also had Photoshop put on her computer, and I set her up a blog! YAY! Now she can digi scrap to her hearts delight, and keep us up to date on all the goings on in their lives.

Here is Madison in one of her 12 month shirts... Think it fits?!?!Babies 7 months 1298

Here is another one. Love the face! I didn't get rid of her newest 'battle scar' she gave herself. These have been making lots of appearances the last week or so. She scoots herself around her crib now. When she gets her head into the corner she can't get herself to scoot down or to the side making her quite mad and getting those arms going.

Blake is officially a very hyper child. I'm sure he is a bit like me at the same age. He is frustrated with his lack of get up and go ability. He turns in our laps like a washer on the spin cycle!

Such a cutie!

Fab time

Yesterday was my 'off' day. Between the 20 point turn to get into a parking space, feeding babies runny food while walking through the grocery and the garbly words coming out of my mouth we had several things to laugh at me about.
