Cool picture and the end of something not nice

This is an illustration of a twin pregnancy at 36 weeks. I am 35 weeks today but with the babies constantly measuring ahead it is probably pretty accurate. I think our babies are more side by side though instead of front and back.

And spicy food rocks!!! It totally kicked constipation's butt! Oh yeah, feeling much better now.

Guy and I are on opposite shifts for three more days. Stinky! So we are only seeing each other when I am still asleep and he is going to bed at 5:15 am.

We made it past one hurdle this month!

Saturday we had a wedding to photograph. I actually did pretty well and was able to take way more photos then I thought I'd be able to. Guy did a fabulous job, as always. It was my third rainy wedding since I started them 16 years ago. It was Guy's first rainy wedding day. The rain cooperated very well for us when we really needed to take photos outside. The chapel was nice, but very hot with the humidity and the very full room of wedding guests. I thought I was in trouble when the urge to pee happened during the ceremony. In order to not be distracting to the wedding guests I had to sneak through the old chapel, through a narrow hallway cluttered with debris where I had to step between the legs of a broken chair just to get by, then I was visible to some guests for just a minute before making it into the bathroom on the side of the stage/pulpit. Once I got in there and was ready to flush it dawned on me the people on the stage might here! Well, after debating with myself for a minute I decided it was much better to flush then to leave a pee present for the next person. So flushed away... The groom and I laughed about it later that evening.

Oh, and I now have stretchies spreading up past my belly button. They are all about ½ to 1 inch and up to 1/3 of an inch wide, but they are everywhere. And they are a bit itchy every once in a while. I think ‘twin skin’ is definitely in my future. For those of you who haven’t heard what twin skin is… It is what people who have had twins call the very stretch mark covered skin that never ever regains its shape even if all the weight is lost. Many people describe how you can grab some on each side of the belly and shake it because there is so much of it. Sounds exciting and sexy, huh?

We have a week and two days until we move! It's coming up quickly.

Quick update - My belly dropped

I had two people tell me today my belly dropped and is a lot lower today. I felt baby boy moving a lot last night so hopefully he engaged his head and is in the 'ready' position! Now, I only have to figure out some way to keep them head down and him engaged... As much as they move that just may not be possible.

HAPPY HUMP DAY! Only two more days to go until the weekend. Though we do have a wedding to photograph on Saturday. So I still have three more full work days to go.

OB appointment update

I just realized in my last wordy post there could have been some worry about things.

Tawni is doing well. It turns out she had an infection and was not leaking amniotic fluid. We're all thankful it was 'just' an infection. She also got her ultra sounds she has been desperately wanting for a few weeks now. The baby's placenta is still over her cervix. Other then that he is doing well.

My OB appointment went well also. I did ask him about my bright red skin, but since I have no other signs of high blood pressure he wasn't worried. There was no high blood pressure when they took it, no swelling anymore and no protein in my urine. Both babies are head down at the moment. The boy isn't quite in a good birth position as his head was not engaging my cervix. So they do need to move a bit. I mentioned my concerns over a c section to him with my slow healing and he was so much nicer then the last OB I saw. Mostly we actually talked about photography and not baby stuff. He wants to get a nice digital SLR camera.

Last night Guy and I packed 7 boxes. That almost doubled our total boxes packed! lol He is working on packing some today and I promised to help him tonight as well. Surprisingly I am not extra worn out today. I'm still having trouble staying awake today (same yesterday), but I think it's just the end of pregnancy exhaustion and getting up 4-5 times a night to pee. Still having quite a few painful contractions though out each day. But they still seem to not be doing anything.

Baby shower photos

Here are photos from Saturday's baby shower.
In this photo I am holding up the ribbons that indicate how big around my belly is. It is about 47 inches right now. The babies are growing more up and down then out. Does it look like about 11 lbs of babies? lol The friend with me is Maria. She made the cake into the diaper bag and all the cool edible baby stuff.
This sign is really cool and I can't wait to put it up on the wall of our new home.
Here is the cool cake and accessories I was talking about. Maria is very talented.
Here is Maria cutting the cake.
This is a photo of all the lovely gifts we received. Sabrina and Annie laid them all out so nicely.
This is a close up of the edible baby accessories.
The next couple are of some friends from church who attended.

Guy being silly with the edible baby bottles. I think he took those to eat.
Sabrina, me and Annie. I still can't believe their trip worked out so well and they had already planned to spend Saturday with me! It's so sad not have our friends living here anymore.
